Dennis(He liked to be called JIM )(Also known in the army as Big Jim & Jungle Jim) was my older half brother but more like a Father, a long serving soldier of 25 years during which,he saw active service in Malaya (RASC 3 Coy Ipoh) & Attached (RASC) to The Trucial Oman Scouts.

After losing his wife Celia to the big C after they both endured a long & brave battle in the 1990's, he sought solace Spain, looking up old army pals and ended up staying; eventually meeting a Spanish lady (Carmen) whom he married. She and her three sons took care of him until the big C and heart problems took him too.

A larger than life character (reached Sgt-busted to the ranks for being too tough! and rising up to WOII again), a real man's man who you would love to have by your side in times of trouble (RASC & SAS). Jim found his final resting place in the desert near Tabernas, Spain where his & pet dog charlie's ashes were scattered in 2009. Sadly missed by a loving Grand-Daughter Karen, Tony & Rosina& family of course, Carmen and her family, and other members of the English family.

Uncle Jim - one of the best!

Uncle Jim (Dennis but always Jim to us) - what a fantastic character! The most interesting member of the family ever with some fantastic stories! Never forget when I was no more than about 13 and he was a warrant officer he sneaked me and my younger brother onto Swansea barracks and let us fire rifles on the rifle range. He cooked fantastic curries too! I won't say God Bless Uncle Jim - you didn't do that religion stuff, 'once you're dead - you're dead!' you always used to say!
Love from Richard, Kim, Stacey and Ryan xxxx

♥ღ♥ GOD ONLY TAKES THE BEST ♥ღ♥

♥ღ♥ Gods loving arms enfolded you,
with tender loving care,
He saw that you were suffering
as you laid in silence there,
He said the time has come
for you to take a rest,
He held you in his arms and said,
I ONLY TAKE THE BEST ♥ღ♥ GOD BLESS DENNIS XX
